In this role, you will deliver teaching, learning, and assessment across programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, including evening provision. You will create inclusive and stimulating learning environments that enable all students to reach their full potential, while integrating current industry knowledge and professional experience into the delivery of technical and vocational subjects. The role includes teaching both practical and theoretical elements in areas such as electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, design, or related disciplines. You will also contribute to curriculum development and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within professional and technical education. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential Criteria Degree level relevant to the subject area. Relevant vocational experience in Civil Engineering. Recent experience of teaching and assessing on professional construction courses. A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to complete. Knowledge and understanding of professional construction provision. Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning, development & delivery in professional construction. Excellent computer literacy. Engaged in continuing professional development. Minimum of Level 3 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete. High level of communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to set high standards for students, colleagues and for themselves. Desirable Criteria Experience of resource based learning. Membership of a relevant professional. Experience of assessing students’ needs and planning curriculum for their benefit including Technology Enhanced Learning. Good understanding of curriculum development to meet the training needs of employers. Good understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes.
