Location: Minehead, Somerset
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £27,976 to £30,000 depending on experience + call out + overtime

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be an essential part of our Operative team, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of highway services across the Somerset network. Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out reactive works and emergency responses.
* Engaging in minor civils and improvement works.
* Participating in winter maintenance activities and supporting severe weather operations.
* Promoting customer care by working closely with team members and ensuring courteous interactions with clients and network users.
* Responding to highway defects within designated timescales and updating relevant parties via tablet devices.
* Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and ensuring they are maintained in good order.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a full driving licence (LGV training will be provided once you meet necessary business targets).
* Can work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating any faults or issues.
