Overview Of Role
Transport for London (TfL) is looking for an experienced Depot Performance Modelling Engineer to join our Systems Performance & Integration team to help shape the future of TfL’s assets and infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of projects and modes of transportation.
Supporting multi-disciplinary project teams, you will provide Depot Performance analysis by using simulation and modelling techniques, enhance system capacity by identifying and navigating depot infrastructure & scheduling constraints, and reduce capital investment and operational costs by developing optimised engineering solutions.
Working alongside our team of engineers you will help to create a culture of continuous improvement through the identification of process improvements, best practices, innovation and new opportunities. As a highly motivated and adaptable engineer, you will also be expected to develop team capability and brand through the mentoring of junior team members and hosting graduate/apprentice/work experience placements.
Essential Skills, Knowledge And Experience
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and domain knowledge that is relevant to TfL transportation modes
* Demonstrable experience of leading technical delivery in an engineering environment
* Ability to analyse complex data, draw conclusions, produce reports and make recommendations to senior management / programme boards
* Ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels across the organisation and externally (supply-chain), and to influence at these levels
* Experience of modelling and simulation
* Experience of coding in Python or Java
