We’re currently looking for a Childminder in Reading, RG31 5ND A lovely family in Little Heath, Reading is seeking an Occasional Childminder for their two children, ages 2 and 4. Care will be on an as-needed basis Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9am to 5pm. Care will primarily be needed for school holidays or unexpected closures. The ideal candidate is flexible, punctual, caring, and engaging. Please note that there are no guaranteed weekly hours for this position. Schedule: As needed; Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm Upcoming dates around Easter Holiday No guaranteed weekly hours Start Date: ASAP Length of Position: Ongoing Rate: £12.21 per hour Responsibilities All aspects of care and monitoring for two children including: Engaging in age appropriate activities and play Light meal prep Maintain child's schedules and routines as set by parents Communicate effectively with parent regarding child's daily activities, progress, and concerns that may arise Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children - help with light housework such as dishes and organizing toys Requirements Legally authorized to work in the UK 2 years of paid, professional toddler care experience Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater CPR certified or willing to become certified Must have valid Photo ID Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check Compensation Position pays £12.21 per hour and care will be on an as-needed basis for 8 hour shifts.
