Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Warrington £40,000 - £60,000
Are you an experienced Geotechnical Engineer ready to step into a senior role with more responsibility, client exposure, and project ownership?
A leading ground engineering consultancy in Warrington that is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support their growing project portfolio across infrastructure, residential, and environmental sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in both design and project delivery, while mentoring junior staff and progressing towards Principal level.
The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically robust and commercially focused solutions across a range of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading ground investigations and supervising site works
* Interpreting geotechnical data and producing factual & interpretative reports
* Undertaking geotechnical design (foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, earthworks)
* Managing projects from tender through to delivery
* Liaising with clients and providing technical advice
* Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
Senior roles typically involve project ownership and client interaction alongside technical delivery
Requirements
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar
* Typically 5+ years' experience in a consultancy or contractor environment
* Strong experience in geotechnical design and reporting
* Experience managing projects and client relationships
* Working towards or holding Chartered status (ICE/GeolSoc)
* Full UK driving licence
