Job Title: Breakfast & After School Club Playworker – Clover Leys Spencer Academy
Location: Woodsford Drive, Boulton Moor, Derby, Derbyshire, DE24 5AX
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 22 hours per week during term time
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15–9:00 for Breakfast Club; 15:00–18:00 for After School Club
Pay: up to £12.21 per hour (plus holiday pay if on a term time only contract)
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured and age-appropriate activities to encourage maximum participation (e.g., multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play).
* Follow Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.
* Set up and pack away play spaces and move furniture and equipment as needed.
* Maintain sign-in/sign-out procedures and keep relevant documentation up to date (accidents and incidents).
* Ensure activities are safe and appropriate by age and skill, prioritising safety and proper use of equipment and space.
* Communicate professionally with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Champion health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep information and documents related to children confidential and secure.
* Inspire children to lead an active lifestyle.

Requirements
* Compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
* Exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
* Must provide two references (one from most recent employer, one from childcare setting, if applicable).
* DBS check will be conducted; please prepare correct documentation.
