Protocol Education is working with a fantastic special educational needs school in West Leeds, and we’re looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs—including autism, complex learning difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural needs—helping them learn, grow and thrive.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups across the classroom
2. Helping learners develop social, emotional and communication skills
3. Working closely with teachers and therapists to follow individual learning plans
4. Encouraging independence and celebrating every small success
5. Creating a calm, nurturing environment where pupils feel safe and valued
What we’re looking for:
6. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care settings welcome)
7. A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
8. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others
9. Willingness to support pupils with a range of complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
