Job Description
Managing Director for our Safran Aerosystems Services UK MRO shop, responsible for overseeing all aspects (around 90 employees) of a legal entity.
Reporting to the EMEA Region General Manager, you are responsible for the UK site of Safran Aerosystems.
Objectives and Missions:
* Ensure safety for employees and products
* Ensure quality and compliance with airworthiness rules (Part 145, etc.)
* Achieve industrial and financial performance targets
* Represent Safran Aerosystems management to customers in the area
* Develop aftermarket business in the UK & Northern Europe
* Drive site activities through processes and routines (S&OP, performance reviews, financial reporting, QRQC, etc.)
Main Activities:
Leading the UK site with support from central functions (HR, Finance, Quality, Sales, Customer Support, Operations):
* Build site vision and strategy, translate into operational and financial objectives
* Implement necessary changes within the organization
* Ensure effective communication within the site
* Promote Safran Together leadership model
* Own the P&L and report to the Board
Ensuring safety, quality, and airworthiness standards:
* Maintain safety of products and employees
* Ensure compliance with airworthiness authorities (Part 145)
* Promote HSE culture and standards
* Comply with Safran standards and legal requirements
Leading MRO industrial operations:
* Manage S&OP processes and industrial decisions
* Monitor production performance metrics
* Oversee supply chain activities
* Implement operational excellence initiatives
Developing customer satisfaction and business profitability:
* Strengthen relationships with existing customers
* Develop new business opportunities
Additional Responsibilities:
* Financial management and cost optimization, including P&L accountability
* Participate in global sales and marketing initiatives
* Maintain stakeholder relations with suppliers, customers, authorities
Job Requirements:
* Strong customer focus and aerospace airworthiness knowledge
* Industrial background in production and supply chain, ERP/MRP understanding
* Experience with Lean methodologies
* Financial acumen for managing P&L
* Leadership, team spirit, autonomy, problem-solving skills
* Fluent in English
