GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Doncaster. This SEN TA position is perfect for someone who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
* Assisting the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
* Supporting pupils with their emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction.
* Helping to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
* Monitoring progress and reporting on pupil development.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* A nurturing and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with all employment gaps explained.
