Job Description Job Title: Commercial Property Lawyer Location: Essex (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (Depending on Experience) About the Opportunity: We are delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a versatile and confident Commercial Property Lawyer to join an expanding and busy Commercial Property Department based in Essex. The Role: We are seeking a lawyer with at least 3 years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in commercial property law, capable of managing a varied caseload independently. You will be responsible for a wide range of commercial property matters, including: Acquisitions and disposals Commercial leases Business lease renewals Site assembly and estate development Property work for educational institutions, pension schemes, investor clients, insolvency practitioners, and charities You will also play an active role in business development, contributing to the growth of the department by attracting new clients while building strong relationships with existing ones. Additionally, you will have opportunities to assist the Head of Department and senior fee earners in guiding and coaching junior members of the team. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property work with minimal supervision. Provide a commercial approach to client matters and maintain a strong and sustained reputation within the market. Build and maintain excellent client relationships, contributing to business development initiatives. Support the Head of Department and mentor less experienced fee earners as needed. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' PQE in commercial property law, with the ability to manage cases independently. You should have a client-focused approach and be comfortable taking the initiative on both legal matters and business development opportunities. We are looking for someone who: Has strong technical knowledge and experience in handling a wide range of commercial property transactions. Can deliver clear, commercially focused advice to clients. Demonstrates strong client relationship skills and an ability to attract new clients. Is a team player and is willing to support and mentor junior members of the department. Why Join our Client?
