Job overview
We are currently seeking to recruit a Teacher of Chemistry into the thriving and successful Science department at the senior school, to cover a period of Maternity leave.
At Gresham's we offer a rare opportunity where children can join us at our Nursery and Pre-Prep School from the age of 2 and continue with their education at our Prep and Senior Schools to the age of 18. Founded in 1555 and located in the heart of North Norfolk, Gresham's is a thriving co-educational school set across 300 acres of countryside, just minutes from award-winning beaches and areas of natural beauty
We currently have an opportunity for an outstanding Chemist to join the Senior School Science department covering a period of Maternity leave. Chemistry is one of the most popular choices for students to study from GCSE through to post-16 A Level and IB at Gresham's. We consistently produce some excellent examination results which have assisted students into Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. This is down to the hard-work of both the students and the staff in the department.
All our academic staff are expected to embrace the co-curricular life at Gresham's, whether you love sport, drama or enjoy working on projects with the local community, we have more than enough to keep you busy.

About Gresham's School
Gresham's School
Cromer Road, Holt
Norfolk
NR25 6EA
United Kingdom
Gresham's is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 2-18. It is situated in the Georgian town of Holt in beautiful countryside, just three miles from the breathtaking North Norfolk coast.
The school was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham who forged close ties with The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers. On his death, he left the school in their care and strong links with them and the City of London remain to this day.
The school enjoys a generous campus with excellent facilities including a state-of-the-art music building (Britten) with its own recording studio, indoor and outdoor performance spaces including a theatre (Auden), multi-surface sports pitches, tennis courts, swimming pool, sports hall and shooting range. The Dyson Building opened at Gresham's in September 2021. Sir James Dyson, a former pupil at the school, enabled the innovative new centre for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education.
The school has an impressive list of Old Greshamians including the composer Benjamin Britten, the poet WH Auden, Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman and international rugby players Tom and Ben Youngs, to name but a few.
