Role Overview

Low Pressure Die Caster

Work Details

• Hours: 05:45 am – 14:45 pm, Monday to Thursday
• Rate: £15.00 per hour plus overtime
• Duration: Temp to perm after 12 weeks
• Location: Wednesbury

Duties

1. Melt metal alloy in a furnace and bring to casting temperature.
2. Transfer molten metal to a holding furnace below the die.
3. Force molten metal through the riser tube into the die by applying low pressure.
4. Allow metal to solidify under constant pressure in the die cavity.
5. Release pressure and recycle remaining molten metal.
6. Cool the die for easy casting removal.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in casting, preferably with aluminium.
• Physically fit; able to perform tasks that may be awkward.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Can do attitude.
