Job Summary
Updown is a magical former farmstead with acres of beautiful garden and woodland situated just outside Deal, Kent.
Now being run as an award winning luxury hotel and restaurant, we're looking for a highly organised, professional and charming Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The candidate will be the first point of contact for all our guests and residents, so must be capable of providing exceptional customer service while also managing various administrative tasks.
The role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a very fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Welcoming guests and checking in hotel guests
* Answering phones/booking in hotel and restaurant guests
* Completing administrative tasks as set by your duty manager
* Providing concierge services, such as booking theatre tickets, arranging travel and providing information about local amenities and attractions
* Preparing room bills and ensuring prompt payments
* Checking guests out, taking payments and returning deposits
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a front desk or receptionist role; experience in a high end hospitality settings is a plus.
* Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Share Point.
* Excellent phone etiquette.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
* Previous administrative experience is beneficial; personal assistant experience is a plus.
* Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills in a busy environment.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong interpersonal skills.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
