For our storage yard in Essex, we are looking for an Asset Sales Specialist/Storage Yard Support Specialist. As an Asset Sales Specialist/Storage Yard Support Specialist, you will be working with a member of the International Asset Sales Team and the UK Asset Sales Team managing the day‑to‑day operations of the site. From this location we sell used agricultural, construction, material handling and transport equipment. You will provide technical knowledge and expertise with regard to agriculture and construction equipment, ensuring assets are sold through the most effective channels to achieve fair market value. Key Responsibilities
* Organise the loading and unloading of equipment as it arrives/leaves Herons Farm, including stock reporting requirements.
* Move equipment around the yard and position it to optimise our available space.
* Handle with care the documents and paperwork of the machines held at Herons Farm.
* Arrange cleaning and repairs with existing and new service providers in agreement with our asset sales and procurement team.
* Perform detailed technical asset inspections and provide necessary inspections, photos and videos to support sales activity.
* Analyse the specific technical specifications of our equipment and identify basic mechanical defects.
* Welcome potential customers to Herons Farm and showcase/demonstrate machines to customers.
* Explore new channels for selling used equipment and reduce reliance on external auction houses by generating new customers and adding these customers to our own auction platform.
* Attend auctions, trade fairs and accompany front‑end sales representatives to existing and new partner networks to build and enhance relationships.
* Maintain and update websites to support remarketing of asset inventory, including the DLL Bidding platform/Showroom.
* Establish and grow relationships with potential buyers to maximise selling opportunities for our assets.
* Perform in‑person audits across all business units a minimum of twice a year or as required in specific partners.
* Introduce secondary finance as standard to all buyers.
* Manage repossession cases alongside the C&R Team.
* Work with the Marketing Team to increase our reach via LinkedIn and other methods, to maximise selling opportunities and increase our profile.
* Liaise with internal departments (front‑end commercial teams, international asset sales, end of lease, sales support, C&R, Operations) and relevant external parties during the end of lease and/or the sales process.
