You will ensure the continuity of service for all components of the Airport passenger processing system and resolve technical issues, including complex ones requiring specialist knowledge.

Airport Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals; perform routine and preventative maintenance on passenger processing equipment within the airport.
* Supply and replace IT consumables, such as paper and ink toner.
* Support troubleshooting within Windows, iOS, Android OS, software installations, and security updates.
* Address basic network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
* Respond to incidents and service requests from the Global Service Desk / Line Manager, troubleshoot, and resolve within SLA, including airline host and connectivity issues.
* Maintain high communication levels with colleagues and senior staff, providing timely updates and logging call details.
* Provide continuous updates to the ESP Service Desk and end users on live incidents and requests.
* Conduct proactive 'floor-walking' and routine checks to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Mentor and train all Airport Technicians within your team.

What You Need:
* Experience: At least 2 years in an IT support role
* Languages: Fluent in English
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of operating systems, Microsoft Desktop software (Windows 2010, 2016), network architecture, and IT hardware connectivity; IMAC experience
* Certifications: CompTIA A+ (or willingness to obtain), ITIL knowledge is a plus
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
* 5 years of UK work history, suitable for airside clearance checks
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift or push 20-40 kg equipment
* Ability to stand or kneel for extended periods
* Ability to use mechanical tools
Work Details:
* Schedule: Rotational shifts, 4 on 2 off, from 04:00 - 12:30 / 12:30 - 21:00, with on-call availability
* Location: Onsite at Edinburgh Airport
