Part Time Accounts Assistant (20 Hours)
XERO EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
Salary: £35, (Pro Rata)
Location: Just out with Edinburgh City Centre
Start Date: Immediate
Working Pattern: Part-time, 20 hours per week - Ideally suited to five mornings per week, although alternative working patterns will be considered. Flexibility is required to provide holiday cover when needed.

Our client, a highly reputable and growing organisation based just out with Edinburgh city centre, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a parttime basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail focused finance professional.


Key Responsibilities


You will play a vital role in supporting daytoday finance operations, including:



1. Inputting Sales and Purchase Invoices

2. Processing Bank Reconciliations

3. Completing VAT Returns

4. Handling Purchase and Supplier Payments

5. Credit Control duties

6. Processing monthly journals (e.g., wages, stock movements)

7. Maintaining accurate Payroll Records

8. Managing and updating Client Holiday Charts

9. Preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage

10. Assisting with the Year-End Audit Pack

11. Carrying out other ad hoc finance tasks as required




Key Attributes & Experience
The ideal candidate will bring:



12. Proven experience using Xero

13. Strong competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

15. Flexibility and a proactive approach to work

16. High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks

17. Proven experience working to deadlines in a busy finance environment
