Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Wakefield (WF4) Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time Provide dedicated support and help students reach their full potential through one-to-one guidance! GSL Education are hiring a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in schools across Wakefield (WF4), supporting individual students who require additional learning or behavioural support. As 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with a student to provide personalised assistance, help with classroom tasks, and encourage engagement with learning in a supportive and structured environment. Main Duties of 1:1 Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one support to a student with learning or behavioural needs Assist with classroom activities and tasks as directed by teaching staff Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning Monitor progress and report observations to teaching staff Support the development of independence and confidence in the student Candidate requirements Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to individual student needs and learning styles Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) If you are a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference, we welcome your application.
