Quality Manager (MEP – Large Industrial Projects)
Location: Chichester, West Sussex
Salary - £85,000 per annum plus car allowance and additional benefits
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager (MEP) to join our client’s growing team in Chichester, overseeing quality assurance and control across large‑scale industrial build projects. This key role will ensure all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) installations meet the highest standards of compliance, performance, and safety. You’ll be instrumental in delivering complex projects—such as manufacturing facilities, data centres, or advanced industrial plants—on time, within budget, and to world‑class quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and manage Project Quality Plans in line with ISO 9001 and company procedures.
* Oversee quality processes for MEP installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning activities.
* Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality reviews with project and subcontractor teams.
* Manage and maintain quality documentation, including ITPs, NCRs, and method statements.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical and quality issues promptly.
* Provide training and mentoring for project teams to embed quality culture across all disciplines.
* Ensure handover documentation is fully compliant and accurately completed for project close‑out.
About You
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Quality Management within MEP on large industrial or commercial projects.
* Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations, BS/EN standards, and quality assurance processes.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Experience working in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary project environments.
* Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CEng, or MCIBSE are desirable.
