We are a family run butchers serving the local community for over 35 years looking for a skilled butcher to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for high-quality meat products and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meat Preparation: All aspects of butchery including de-boning, baking and portion control, minimising the level of waste.
* Counter Management and Stock Control: Ensure the counter display is well-presented, fully stocked, and refreshed throughout the day while ensuring waste is kept to a minimum. Assist with stock rotation and stock checks.
* Customer Service: Provide friendly and knowledgeable service, assist customers, answer queries and make recommendations
* Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the work area and have knowledge of HACCP level 2
* Cash Handling: Handle cash and card transactions
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years butchery experience preferred
* Proficient in meat and poultry handling
* Knowledge of HACCP Level 2
* Drivers licence
* Flexibility regarding working hours and days
Work Schedule:
* Working 5 days over 6, Saturday availability is essential
* 40 hours per week
