Contract: Full-time (part-time considered) The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead the Communications team supporting its digital and information services. Based in the Office of the Chief Digital and Information Officer (OCDIO), you will help leaders and technical specialists across IT services, information security, research computing, data services, and digital innovation engage staff and students with Oxford’s ambitious digital agenda.
About the Role
Oxford’s digital and information services are a collaborative group of departments reporting to the Chief Digital & Information Officer. The OCDIO Communications team works across the University to support the digital priorities outlined in the University Strategic Plan.
You will develop and deliver strategic, audience-focused communications plans and oversee high-quality content and engagement activities across multiple channels, including digital communications and events. Working closely with a Project Communications Manager, you will report to the Head of Communications (Digital & IT).
This is a full-time role, although part-time working will be considered. Flexible hybrid working is available, with a minimum of two days per week on site.
You will join a friendly and dedicated team committed to communicating digital developments, promoting services and innovation, and supporting cyber security awareness across the University. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to digital transformation and organisational change in a complex and high-profile environment.
About You
You will have substantial experience managing communications and events within a large, complex organisation, together with excellent writing, editorial, and stakeholder management skills. You should be confident translating technical information into clear, engaging communications and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills are essential, including experience managing, developing, and motivating a team.

£49,119 to £58,265 per annum (pro rata if part-time). Grade 8
