Junior Clinical Fellow - Critical Care

This position is suitable for candidates who may wish to pursue a career in Intensive Care and/or Anaesthetics, or who may want to gain experience to strengthen their application to a Core Training rotation. Alternatively, it suits candidates who want to pursue a complementary specialty in which critical care or anaesthetics experience is required. Previous experience is not required.
Responsibilities and duties:
* Provide on‑call services to the 2nd on‑call intensive care line of the rota, directly supervised out of hours by a registrar or SAS grade doctor while on call.
* Receive on‑site consultant supervision until 21:30.
* Assist anaesthetists covering theatres or obstetrics when appropriate, providing exposure to these subspecialties.
* Work in a full shift pattern on a 1:8, with prospective cover for annual leave and study leave.
* Split clinical time between intensive care sessions (including on‑call and standard days) and anaesthetics sessions, under the supervision of a Senior Anaesthetist/Intensivist.
* All duties carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure.
Person Specification:
* GMC registration.
Experience:
* Foundation year training.
* NHS experience.
