North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Recruitment Administration Officer to join our busy team. The role is 37.5 hours per week, fixed‑term for 6 months, with a closing date of 27 April 2026.
About the role
The role involves using an applicant tracking system (TRAC), dealing with candidates and managers, progressing job offers, conducting background checks and attending recruitment events. An agile approach is required to meet fluctuating demands of the recruitment process.
Main duties
* Use a tracking system and liaise with Recruiting Managers to process successful candidates efficiently and accurately.
* Administer end‑to‑end recruitment process following NHS Employer standards and best practice.
* Provide an excellent service to candidates and demonstrate Trust values.
* Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Work effectively in a busy team environment and prioritise workloads.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications
* NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent.
Knowledge
* Understanding of administrative processes and systems in a busy environment.
* Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
* Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service.
* Knowledge of right‑to‑work principles.
* Knowledge of ESR and NHS Jobs and how they support recruitment in the NHS.
* Recruitment processes.
* NHS Standards related to recruitment, i.e. pre‑employment checks.
* Knowledge of equal opportunities legislation relating to recruitment.
* Awareness of equality and diversity in recruitment.
Experience
* Managing changing priorities in the working day.
* Working in a busy office environment.
* Use of NHS Jobs / ESR.
* End‑to‑end recruitment processes.
* Carrying out pre‑employment checks.
* Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Developing relationships with peers.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Problem‑solving and the ability to provide telephone support and training to managers.
* Excellent computer / keyboard skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
* Ability to produce and maintain a high standard of work.
* Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and ways of working.
