Rockwood House is a CrossReach residential children’s service providing a safe, stable and nurturing home for children and young people. The service works in a relational and trauma-aware way, supporting children to experience consistency, trust and positive relationships within a structured and caring environment. As a Residential Children’s Worker, you will support children and young people in their everyday lives, offering relationship-based care as part of a committed and supportive team. You will help create a calm, therapeutic setting where children feel safe, valued and understood, and where their individual needs are recognised and responded to with care and compassion. What your day could involve * Providing consistent, nurturing care that supports emotional, physical and behavioural needs * Building trusting relationships using a relational and trauma-aware approach * Supporting daily routines, education, activities and leisure time * Contributing to care plans, risk assessments and key-working responsibilities * Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour in line with individual plans * Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals * Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reviews and meetings * Promoting a safe, clean and welcoming living environment * Working a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleepovers About you You are patient, reliable and committed to supporting children and young people in a residential setting. You may have experience in residential care, education or a related field, or be motivated to build a career in childcare. You bring a calm and reflective approach, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team. You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council and work towards the required qualifications, including HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3, with support provided.
