Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Salford

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate Psychology graduate to become part of a dedicated SEND team within a supportive school environment. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to progress into careers such as Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, SEN Teaching, or Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

* Full-time, long-term position (Monday to Friday, term time only)
* Weekly pay of £500–£560 per week (dependent on experience)

About You :

* A degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject) is essential
* A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive, positive approach
* A desire to pursue a career in education, psychology, or therapeutic support
* Must be based in or able to reliably commute to Salford

You will be supporting pupils who may have needs such as:

* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
* Speech, language and communication difficulties

Key Responsibilities :

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
* Deliver small-group interventions to support learning and development
* Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies
* Support communication, interaction, and social development activities
* Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff

This is a hands-on and highly rewarding role that will give you valuable insight into how children learn, develop, and overcome barriers to learning.
