A national repairs and maintenance contractor who oversees both planned and reactive works on social housing is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join theirmercial team for their Yorkshire-based works.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to repairs and maintenance projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure accurate cost estimation, budget control, and timely delivery of projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects
Schedule of rates
Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
Procuring materials and subcontractors
Monitoring project progress and ensuringpliance with specifications and regulations
Managing variations and claims
Providing regular reports to the project manager and senior management team
What you'll need to succeed
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
