Qualifications and experience
* Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
* First Aid Training (desirable)
* Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities
* Basic Health and Safety Awareness
* Knowledge of, and commitment to equal opportunities
* Experience of administering first aid
* Ability to relate well to children and adults
* Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
* Good verbal communication skills in order to liaise with pupils and other staff members
* Ability to react in a positive manner to difficult situations which may arise amongst children
* Ability to identify own training and development needs and co-operate with means to address these
* Ability to encourage the children in constructive and co-operative play
* Ability to encourage the children in constructive and co-operative play
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to maintain confidences regarding children and colleagues
* Commitment to work in line with the school ethos and mission
* Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development in connected with the post
* Compliance with policies relating to Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity and data protection
* Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure to work in an environment dealing with young people
* Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
