Main duties of the job
You will need to bewilling to carry out further technical and clinical procedures followingappropriate training and demonstrating competence. You will also need a fulldriving license as you will need to undertake home visits.

VHG is a large GMS practice of around 26,000 patientsin Rushcliffe, South Nottinghamshire. The practice formed in April 2020 fromthe merger of East Leake Medical Group and Keyworth Medical Practice, both ofwhich have been rated outstanding by the CQC. VHG works across four sites, withour main sites in East Leake and Keyworth and branch surgeries in Ruddingtonand Sutton Bonington.

To provide a high quality care service based on theneeds of the Practice population which includes treatment, screening,preventative care and patient education byassisting the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery ofprescribed programmes of patient care.
Duties andResponsibilities
Clinical
New patient health checks/heart checks
ECG recording
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested byGPs/nurses
Cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and re-stocking and stock rotation (excludingvaccines)
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing andmaintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care
Interventions includingassisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health andwell-being
Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that havebeen delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
