We have an exciting opportunity for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join Thames Water permanently.
This position will be responsible for R&M across our South London network, with occasional travel to North London when required.
What you’ll be doing as an R&M Technician
You will lead a two-person R&M team, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Base location: South London (Area 5) – based in Darenth (DA27SR) or Brixton (SW21SB), with travel around the Crystal Palace & Croydon area.
Working pattern: 45 hours/week on a shift pattern, including standby rota with additional pay.
What should you bring to the role?
* Full UK Driving Licence and Street Works (NRSWA)/SSSTS qualification.
* Experience or training in water industry repair and maintenance.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Problem-solving skills and initiative.
* Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly.
* A positive, can-do attitude open to new ideas and change.
* Self-motivated and committed to high-quality work.
Additional desirable skills:
* EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2, and/or First Aid qualification.

* Salary from £34,300 per annum, depending on experience.
* 24 days annual leave, increasing to 28 with service, plus bank holidays.
