Residential Child Care Worker - Nights
The team at Evergreen Lodge Children’s Home, are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals, to join us as a Nights Residential Child Care Worker. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established children’s home.
About us…
The Children's Residential Service provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in care. Evergreen Lodge is part of the Residential Short Break Service and caters for children with varying disabilities. The home is one of three Residential Overnight Breaks Services in Lancashire and has been graded outstanding by OFSTED at fourteen consecutive inspections.
About the role...
Night staff have a significant and important role in our children's homes and work through the night whilst staff are asleep. Night staff are responsible for ensuring the home is secure during the night and, should the children wake, that they have a friendly face to support them and deal with any issues.
This role will involve working on a Rota Basis, working night shifts including weekends. The role is 20 hours per week, which will be equal to working two shifts, between the hours of 9:30PM and 07:30AM.
About you…
While previous experience in a residential setting is desirable, we're looking for passionate, determined individuals to support the needs of our children. To be a successful Residential Child Care Worker, you will have:
1. Compassionate individuals who are dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and their families.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
