Contentious Construction Solicitor (NQ-4) – Edinburgh A leading UK law firm with a strong reputation in construction and infrastructure disputes is seeking a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor to join its busy Property & Infrastructure Disputes team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly regarded team on high-value, complex disputes across the construction and energy sectors. The work includes litigation, adjudication, arbitration and mediation – both in Scotland and cross-border. The role: Advise on a wide range of construction and engineering disputes, including professional negligence, defects, delays and payment issues Represent clients in adjudications, arbitrations, mediations and court proceedings Prepare legal documentation including pleadings, witness statements and expert reports Contribute to case strategy and client relationship development Stay updated on key legal and regulatory developments in construction law About You: Qualified solicitor in Scotland with up to 4 years’ PQE in contentious construction law Experience with construction contracts (e.g. NEC, JCT, FIDIC) and major infrastructure disputes Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills Able to manage a varied caseload and prioritise under pressure A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills You will benefit from a supportive environment offering ongoing training, clear progression and a competitive salary and benefits package.
