OXBO are working in close partnership with one of the UK’s fastest-growing energy infrastructure businesses to recruit a Head of Delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly ambitious and well-funded organisation with a broad portfolio across battery storage, solar PV, grid stability, and flexible generation technologies.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in energy project delivery who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to play a key role in delivering major infrastructure assets that are driving the energy transition.
The Role
As Head of Delivery, you’ll take ownership of late-stage energy projects, guiding them through to ‘shovel-ready’ status and supporting across construction and financing phases. You’ll also coordinate across internal teams and external consultants to ensure projects move efficiently through approvals and internal governance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating projects through internal stage gates and securing board approvals
* Leading project due diligence and acquisition assessments
* Supporting project financing and working with funders and advisors on technical diligence
* Managing planning applications and third-party consultants
* Overseeing land/property agreements and grid connection progression
* Running commercial viability modelling and tracking project KPIs
* Representing the business at workshops and industry forums
* Leading internal project governance processes (budgets, risk, scheduling, etc.)
* Line management of internal technical teams (GIS/CAD/Planning & Property)
What We’re Looking For
* 3–5 years of experience in the energy industry (ideally across multiple technologies)
* Strong knowledge of project development including planning, land, connections, and financing
* Commercial skills including project financial modelling
* Highly organised with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel/PowerPoint)
* UK driving licence
