Accounts Assistant Hybrid £30,000 per annum Our client seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the finance department. Key Responsibilities Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner Record financial transactions within the accounting system Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with transaction processing, checks, and reconciliations Ensure documentation and approval requirements are met Respond to internal queries regarding expenses and reimbursements Assist with preparing and executing supplier payment runs Use payment platforms to support payment processing and supplier transactions Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice or payment-related queries Maintain organised and compliant financial filing Support ad hoc finance tasks, reporting, and administrative duties Use financial systems to process transactions efficiently Assist with improvements to finance processes and workflows Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure smooth operations Requirements Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar role Experience processing invoices, expenses, and financial transactions Strong attention to detail and high accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Experience using accounting or finance systems Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal teams and suppliers Professional and confidential approach to financial information Desirable AAT Level 3 qualification or working towards AAT Experience supporting payment runs Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology-based environment
