We're looking for an experienced Tool Asset Care Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of production tooling within a busy manufacturing environment. Working alongside an existing technician, you'll play a key role in keeping tooling in excellent condition and ready for production.
This is a practical, engineering-focused role suited to someone with previous toolroom, tooling, asset care, or injection moulding experience. It's not a high-pressure production position and it's not an entry-level opportunity. Instead, it's a well-structured role where experience, reliability, and attention to detail are genuinely valued.
What's on Offer
- Approx. £30,000 earnings based on 30 hours per week
- Full-time equivalent salary of £36,500£40,000
- Flexible 3 or 4 day working week
- Hours can be tailored around the right person
- Overtime hourly rate
- 33 days holiday (pro rata)

What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing production tooling
- Stripping, cleaning, inspecting, and rebuilding tools ready for production
- Diagnosing tooling faults and carrying out repairs
- Completing preventative maintenance to maximise tool life and reliability
- Supporting tool change activities when required
- Recording maintenance work and tooling history accurately
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing performance
- Helping maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and housekeeping
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Tool Asset Care Technician, Tool Room Technician, Toolmaker, or similar tooling-focused role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
- Experience maintaining and repairing production tooling
xsngvjr - Injection moulding tooling experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintenance
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to high standards
- Someone looking for a flexible engineering role without stepping away from practical engineering work
