Orion is partnered with a well‑established Metal fabrication company based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager with extensive architectural fabrication expertise, capable of leading complex, bespoke metalwork projects from concept through to completion.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
Manage multiple architectural fabrication projects from cradle to grave, including design coordination, fabrication planning, installation, commercial control and programme management
Oversee and coordinate fabrication workflows, ensuring accuracy between drawings, workshop output and site installation
Liaise closely with design/CAD teams to interpret complex architectural details, technical drawings and bespoke metalwork requirements
Organise and manage contractors on-site, ensuring safe and efficient installation of fabricated structures
Manage multiple project sites simultaneously, maintaining clear communication and project oversight
Conduct regular site visits (3–4 days per week) to monitor progress, ensure quality standards and resolve technical issues
Engage directly with clients, architects, main contractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Work to tight deadlines and ensure all architectural fabrication deliverables meet specification and compliance standards
Project Manager Experience:
UK Drivers Licence
Must have the right to work in the UK
Extensive experience in architectural fabrication and metalwork—including structural metalwork, bespoke features, façades, balustrades, staircases, canopies, or other fabricated architectural elements
Proven background managing the full lifecycle of fabrication projects, from design interpretation to installation
Experience leading several projects at once in a fast‑paced manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong ability to organise labour, manage site-based contractors and coordinate with workshop teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Client‑facing with experience managing high‑profile clients
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate technical detail clearly
Programme software experience (e.g., MS Project or similar)
Ability to read, interpret and work from CAD drawings and architectural plans (2D/3D)
Knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, quality standards and site installation principles within architectural metalwork
Project Manager Shifts:
Monday – Friday – Core hours 07:00 – 16:30
