Offer description

Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy is working with Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford & District (CADAT) to appoint their next Chief Executive Officer.

This is an opportunity for an inspiring leader with a strong connection to the values of the voluntary and charity sector. CADAT’s work touches thousands of lives every year across Norfolk and Suffolk, and the organisation is now seeking a CEO who can guide it forward – ensuring advice services remain a lifeline for local people while strengthening CADAT’s role as a trusted voice in the East Anglian community.

Whether appointed on a full-time, fractional or interim basis, the CEO will have the scope to shape services, champion social justice and build meaningful partnerships across the voluntary sector and beyond. To succeed, the CEO will bring both strategic vision and a strong local presence, staying closely connected to the communities CADAT serves.

Salary will be discussed in confidence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The CEO will build on CADAT’s established reputation, leading with empathy and vision. They will ensure services are sustainable, accessible and relevant, while representing CADAT with funders, local authorities, partner organisations and the wider VCSE sector. This is about more than managing services – it is about influencing change, driving collaboration and ensuring that people in local communities can thrive.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

CADAT is seeking a candidate who brings:

* Commitment to community impact: a clear understanding of the role advice services play in changing lives
* Charity/voluntary sector insight: experience of the unique challenges of VCSE organisations, such as funding, compliance and stakeholder engagement
* Inclusive leadership: the ability to inspire staff, volunteers and trustees alike
* Partnership building: strong skills in creating collaborative relationships across sectors
* Strategic direction: the confidence to set a course that secures the future of CADAT’s services
* Regional awareness: good knowledge of the East Anglian landscape and the ability to maintain a visible presence locally over the period of appointment

WHY JOIN CADAT?

* Lead a respected East Anglian organisation: with deep community roots and national relevance
* Shape a future: where advice services contribute to long-term prosperity and resilience
* Benefit from flexible working arrangements: tailored to individual availability
* Make a lasting impact: in a region ready for transformation

COMMITMENT

A minimum of two years is required to provide stability and continuity, with longer-term engagement encouraged.
