Are you an experienced male support worker looking for a new rewarding job? We have an opportunity for you as a Complex Care Practitioner on a full‑time basis.
Responsibilities
Work directly with adults who have complex care needs and are on the Autism spectrum, including managing their homes, independence and wellbeing. Partner with a multidisciplinary team and families to develop robust outcome‑focused support plans. Encourage participation in leisure and meaningful activities within home and community.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities and/or working in a forensic service
* A solid understanding of professional boundaries, accountabilities and responsibilities
* A passion for delivering excellent person‑led care and support
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written)
* Numeracy skills to ensure accurate records are kept
* The ability and confidence to deal with behaviours that can challenge
* A caring and professional attitude and approach
* A positive approach to learning
* Confidence in the use of computers
Commitment to study for and achieving an SVQ (SCQF level 7) and completing training and further qualifications. Successful candidates must join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and commit to an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare, and register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.
Shift Patterns
24/7 support requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts.
