Are you a mechanically biased M&E Project Manager ready to lead the charge on a cutting-edge new build residential development in the UK? A major, established UK residential developer is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee all Mechanical and Electrical aspects of a high-profile, multi-unit scheme from ground-up construction through to completion and handover. This is a fantastic chance to join a reputable company known for quality and innovation. Youll be instrumental in ensuring the mechanical and electrical services are installed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget, with a primary focus on the mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, etc.).
Responsibilities
* Management and Leadership: Lead, manage, and coordinate all M&E subcontractors and site teams, with a specific emphasis on the mechanical trade packages.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all mechanical and electrical installations comply with project specifications, building regulations, and quality standards.
* Program Management: Drive the M&E program, identifying and resolving potential delays or clashes, particularly within the mechanical scope.
* Design and Technical Review: Review and challenge M&E designs, drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring efficient and buildable mechanical solutions.
* Commissioning and Handover: Oversee the testing, commissioning, and final handover process for all M&E services, providing full technical sign-off for mechanical systems.
Candidate Requirements
* MUST have a strong Mechanical Engineering background (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing) demonstrated through qualifications and/or significant industry experience.
* Proven experience as an M&E Manager, M&E Site Manager, or similar role on new build residential or mixed-use developments in the UK.
* In-depth knowledge of current UK building regulations, standards, and health and safety procedures.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
