Direct Education Business Partnership (DEBP) are recruiting three Connected Futures Ambassadors (CFAs) to join the Connected Futures programme in the East Midlands.
Connected Futures is a national programme, which aims to address the employment challenges facing young people.
The East Midlands Partnership focuses on the issues affecting the journeys of young people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions through education and into employment.
The role is flexible and will include some home working, working from DEBP's offices in Chesterfield, other locations by agreement, and attending events and conferences with prior notice. Transport costs by taxi may be covered, subject to Access to Work funding.
As a CFA your work will involve:
* Attending and speaking to a wide range of people, at meetings and events to represent Connected Futures both in person and online.
* Gathering and representing the views and experiences of young people and adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions.
* Raising the profile of the work of the programme across the East Midlands.
* Developing and coordinating an Experience Forum and supporting young people and families to take part.
* Mentoring Experience Forum members to participate in the EMCCA Youth Committee and other opportunities.
* Working with others on all aspects of commissioning services to help improve employment outcomes or young people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions. These include developing specifications, scoring and awarding bids, and project management.
* Being a positive and visible role model to challenge beliefs about ability.
* Supporting key stakeholders to ensure inclusive approaches are understood and being used.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
