The Foreign National Offenders Return Command (FNO RC) objective is to protect the public by removing FNOs who commit crime. We actively manage, monitor and progress cases regardless of whether the individual is imprisoned, is detained under immigration powers, or released into the community. We do this by pursuing removal against FNOs who have committed criminal offences, managing each case through the legal process, negotiating barriers, ensuring that we adhere to policies and procedures.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop and embed a wide range of people and engagement skills within a high performing team, delivering what is required to continue to make the team a great place to work and to support staff and senior managers in delivery.
The role will be based in FNORC’s Criminality Assessment and Returns Unit (CARU) which is made up of the Cancellation, Cessation & Revocation Team (CCR), the Deportation and Administrative Removals Team (DART) and Foreign Convictions Team (FCT). The successful candidate will be posted to either DART or FCT. However, you will be expected to provide cross‑command support where necessary.
We are specialist case working teams within FNORC. We support the wider objectives of FNORC by pursuing the deportation and removal of FNOs who have received an overseas conviction that meets the criteria for deportation alongside those who have returned in breach of their extant Deportation Orders. We ensure through active and effective progression of custodial and detained cases that there are timely resolutions to casework barriers, leading to removable cases/conclusions. Where resources permit, we also progress cases released in the community until they become barrier free/removable or to conclusion.
