Whatyoullbedoing: Ensuringourcommunalareasarecleanandwellmaintained,carryingoutspotcleaninge.g. sweeping,vacuuming,mopping,dusting,polishing,litterpickingetcasdirected. Sweep,disinfectandkeeptidyrefusechutes,binsandbinareas(whereappropriate) Whenrequired,usemachinery(jetwashers,steamcleanersetc)tocarryoutdeepcleaning. Anytrainingrequiredwillbeprovided. Carryoutsomeminorrepairsofabasic,semi-skillednatureasdirectedbytheScheme ManagerorEstateServicesManager.Thiscouldininacommunalareaorresidentshome. Examplesarejoinery,plumbing(nonqualifiedjobssuchasunblockingsinks/toiletsetc), internalpainting,graffitiremoval,lockchangesetc. Reportanyrepairsordefectsincommunalareas,thatyoucannotresolve,tomaintenance department/linemanagerandfollowupactionsasrequired. Carryouttestsinspectionsandsubmitdetailedreportsasandwhenrequested. Providecoverintheabsenceofothercolleagues. Beapointofcontactforresidents,assistwherepossibleorreferenquiriestocolleagues. Beawareofvulnerablecustomersand,whereappropriate,highlighttheirneedstoyourline manager/HousingTeam Actinafriendly,polite,andprofessionalwayatalltimes,evenwhenchallengedby residentsorvisitorstotheestate.
