Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Physiotherapist in pelvic health (mens and womens health) and MSK to join our bank staffing to support the Physiotherapy department on a flexible basis.
Main duties
* Develop practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs.
* Develop practice in addressing patients’ health and wellbeing needs.
* Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
* Develop knowledge and practice in own area of work.
* Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
* Develop and improve services.
* Enable people to exercise their rights and promote equality and diversity.
* Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices.
* Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment of patients.
Qualifications and experience
* Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
* Post‑Graduate Diploma in a specialist programme.
* Post‑graduate experience in relevant specialism e.g. pelvic health physiotherapy and MSK.
* Experience applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads.
* Experience working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services.
* Competence across a range of physiotherapy, management and leadership skills supported by skilled professional and specialist knowledge in the chosen specialism.
* Evidence of post‑registration continuing professional development.
* Keeps abreast of clinical developments in the specialism.
* Possesses equipment and medical devices competencies (any additional relevant competences).
* Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages.
* Possesses mandatory training including infection control and health and safety.
* Willing to work flexible patterns e.g. evenings, weekends, on‑call as required.
* Registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
* Empathy for vulnerable and sick patients.
* Commitment to principles and importance of equality and dignity at work.
