About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in leading a talented team of chefs. You’ll step up in the Kitchen Manager's absence, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine as you monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll support and grow your team through daily briefings, stock control, and food presentation reviews.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and adhering to cooking standards. You’ll also ensure compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, in line with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team to provide a fantastic experience for our guests every time. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a team serving our half-board dining package guests.
Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for individuals with experience in a similar role, particularly in high-volume environments. Our buffet department can host up to 3,000 guests per service, so being able to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential!

You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen environment.
As with any chef role at this level, you’ll manage margins, control costs, and oversee all health, safety, and hygiene aspects. Our chefs at Butlin’s are truly special, and we know our guests love returning to our restaurants as part of their holiday experience. The ideal candidate will be fun, eager to join in, and committed to ensuring our guests have a great time, every time!
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this role does not come with onsite accommodation.
