Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to enhancing the well-being of those in their care. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs, and proficiency in English and IT is essential for effective communication and documentation. Duties
* Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Supporting individuals with their care plans to ensure personalised and consistent care
* Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
* Administering medication as prescribed, following strict protocols
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
* Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
* Supporting clients with light domestic tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
* Facilitating outings or appointments, utilising driving skills if applicable
* Communicating effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure coordinated care
Experience
* Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Familiarity with care plans and understanding of individual needs is beneficial
* Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are required
* Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues
