About the Team
The Monitoring Data & Systems Team (MDS) manages important environmental monitoring systems and datasets. You will join a multi‑disciplinary team supporting and learning from colleagues while analysing and improving data that underpins our work.
Responsibilities
* Set up and manage users for Water Quality systems.
* Support users and resolve issues, especially as we transition to the new My Environment application.
* Update, improve and maintain datasets.
* Respond to internal and external data requests.
* Support system improvement and upgrade projects.
Qualifications
* Experience working with large complex datasets.
* Willingness to develop and learn new technical skills and apply them across monitoring data and systems.
* Motivated, organised, friendly and helpful with an eye for detail, comfortable working in a dispersed team environment.
* Proactive and enjoys solving problems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, deliver through others and provide excellent customer service.
* Desirable: Experience using and managing environmental monitoring data systems.
* Desirable: Experience using PowerBI, Access, Excel, Python, SharePoint Online and R.
* Desirable: Working knowledge of water quality monitoring.
