Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover - Year 3/4) - Stockport A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a warm and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Stockport from after October half term, covering a maternity leave position. This role will see the successful candidate leading a mixed Year 3/4 class within a nurturing and vibrant school community. With an average number of SEND pupils and a significant proportion of EAL learners, staff work closely together to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Lead a mixed Year 3/4 class with full whole-class teaching responsibilities. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with age-related expectations, adapting teaching to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Support pupils with SEND and EHCPs through differentiated instruction and close collaboration with support staff. Work effectively with teaching assistants and other classroom staff to ensure smooth delivery of lessons and support interventions. Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor pupil progress, using data to inform planning and re-teaching where necessary. Employ effective questioning techniques to stimulate curiosity, deepen understanding, and promote independent thinking.
