Salary: £26,724 – £28,000
Location: Cardiff (Head Office with regional travel)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30

The Role
As an Assessor, you will deliver structured, end-to-end support to apprenticeship learners, guiding them through their Children & Young People qualification.
You will play a key role in ensuring learners receive high-quality training, assessment, and feedback, helping them successfully complete their programmes and progress in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, knowledge and competency-based assessments
* Manage a caseload of learners across a regional area, including workplace visits
* Support learners through regular interaction, planning, and feedback
* Monitor learner progress and ensure timely completion of qualifications
* Conduct monthly progress reviews and set clear, measurable targets
* Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
* Support learners in developing literacy, numeracy, and digital skills
* Assess and mark workplace evidence in line with qualification requirements
* Coordinate learner inductions with employers
* Maintain compliance with internal quality assurance processes
Requirements
Essential:
* Level 4 or 5 NVQ/QCF in Children & Young People
* Experience delivering training within the sector
* CAVA qualification (or equivalent)
* Previous assessor experience
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Willingness to complete a DBS check and relevant registration
Desirable:
* Welsh language skills
