With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals Your responsibilities will include: Analyse the needs of each service, determining the level of provision required to meet the needs of the patients adequately and safely Recruit to vacant posts/ create vacancies through submission of service level analysis. - Assist in all tasks regarding recruitment of staff, as required Maintain accurate and transparent waiting lists for SLT patients for services Fill the void in the service where there is a recruitment gap, through provision of a quality SLT service to patients Ensure the clinical supervision of the team is met in a timely, profession and person specific manner Meet the ongoing needs of the speech and language therapists in the region, as they arise, such as training or pay requests, supervision or operational discussion, support for clinical or operational queries, support for Attend governance to support SLT development and input regionally, as requested Managing your caseloads independently, with clinical supervision and support from more experienced clinicians Demonstrating specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders Completing assessments of communication needs Contributing to team meetings, attend ward rounds, and CPA meetings where you will feedback on service users’ progress Where you will be working Location: Bradley Road, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, DN37 0AA You will work at Bradley Complex Care, a specialist service for men and women living with complex needs who may have a primary diagnosis of learning disability, mental health issue or personality disorder. You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to support people with complex conditions, needs and risks who display behaviours of concern and pose challenges for services, including those with highly complex and severe challenging behaviour. Bradley Complex Care is located in Bradley, Grimsby, and North East Lincolnshire. The location provides a more relaxed local environment than a busy inner-city setting to enable patients to engage in their therapeutic programme, thus increasing the pace of recovery and speeding up discharge. Bradley is just 90 minutes by car from York, Sheffield and Mansfield. As a Speech and Language Therapist you will be: Demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management. Undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.
