Job Summary
To ensure NW Care Service Users receive delivery of care in accordance with company policies and procedures and in line with company Aims and Objectives. He/she is responsible for carrying out quality monitoring, health and safety risk assessments in line with legislation and company Health and Safety Policy, staff monitoring and spot checks on behalf of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
The post holder will demonstrate staff engagement and person-centred care through role modelling this approach in the delivery of training standards.
Training - To ensure the timely delivery of relevant approved/accredited training to all NWCare domiciliary care staff and office staff in order to meet organisational and legislative requirements.
Training Facilitator – Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for the delivery of training as required in line with the induction standards for all new community care staff and office staff
* Delivery of continual professional development and educational training and specific on-going training in line with identified development areas and specified contractual requirements
* Remain informed and up to date about changes in legislation, guidance and recommendations from government and other key agencies, not limited to the Department of Health
* Assist with on-going course design and the updating and evaluation of courses when required
* Ensure all external and internal quality procedures, contractual and legislative standards are met
* Ensure all training delivered is always effective and delivered to a high standard
* To deliver, as required, bespoke and specialised training in accordance with your own skills and competencies to meet current legislative requirements and workforce development
* To act as a point of reference for all staff where training support is required and to also ensure effective dissemination of information to staff as appropriate
* To carry out supervision visits of staff during their probationary period and participate in final probationary review meetings
* To liaise with Human Resources and Line Managers in the event of both good staff and under-performing staff
* To cover rotas as and when required for business needs
Attributes
Qualifications and Training
QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above
Experience
Previous experience training in health care
Registration
Registered with the NI Social Care Council and/or registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council
Knowledge
Provides evidence of past personal and professional development
Provides evidence of knowledge of quality assurance systems and RQIA minimum standards
Competent in Microsoft Office applications
High standard of accuracy
Flexible in working hours to respond to business needs
QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
