We are seeking dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers to join our logistics team for various contracts across Lanarkshire including trunking and continental work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
HGV Class 1 DriverDuties
* Operate a lorry in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
* Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods on temperature controlled vehicles.
* Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and delivery times.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to company policies regarding safety, maintenance, and customer service.
* Assist in the training of new drivers as required.

HGV Class 1 DriverQualifications
* Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
* Experience in temperature controlled driving is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidates.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
* Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
