Overview
Bowdon Associates Ltd is recruiting for the role of Contracts Manager (Fit-Out). This is a hands-on position within a dynamic and expanding leader in the construction and facilities management sector, providing services to optimise operations of commercial and residential buildings.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the project management team to ensure each project is completed and handed over successfully.
* Oversee construction programmes and identify value engineering options.
* Coordinate with site managers to deliver quality projects on time and to standard.
* Supervise all labour and subcontractors on-site, maintaining high standards.
* Uphold strict health and safety standards and mitigate any risks.
* Lead client and stakeholder coordination, including project meetings and regular communications with clients, owners, and stakeholders.
* Ensure formal client instructions are received for all works; prepare final accounts and manage variations and retentions to optimise profitability and cash flow.
* Maintain technical understanding of the building contract, M&E installations, and JCT contracts to ensure compliant project execution.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of continuous experience in commercial construction / fit-out.
* Knowledge of Fit-Out Standards: Background in main contracting with extensive experience in design and build fit-outs.
* Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and high standards.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in JCT contracts, understanding of M&E installations, and working knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Communication & Computer Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
